There’s an old Twilight Zone episode from 1960 called “The Monsters are Due on Maple street.” It depicts a peaceful neighborhood in which suburban families are going about caring for their properties and lawns or just enjoying the balmy outdoors. Everyone knows each other and they’re exchanging pleasantries with their neighbors.
Then, suddenly there’s an unexplained sound, like a crash. Speculations begin to fly about what caused it. One little boy from the neighborhood suggests it might be hostile invaders from another planet. Then the power goes out. And when one of the adults seizes upon the general uneasiness and begins lobbing suspicion against people in the neighborhood, suddenly these calm, rational individuals metamorphose into a paranoid, hostile mob and take up arms and stones and whatever else they can find and begin to do in their own neighbors.
Meanwhile, there are hostile entities. They’re watching this all from a safe distance, behind the scenes. And one of them says, “This pattern is always the same. They pick the most dangerous enemy they can find. And it’s themselves. All we have to do is sit back and watch. Their world is full of Maple Streets. We’ll go from one to the other and let them destroy themselves.. .”
The moral of the episode is this: the monsters never actually had to appear. Fear drove decent, everyday people to turn into irrational and paranoid beings who suddenly took up weapons against their own dear neighbors. Essentially, they morphed into monsters, while the real monsters watched it all go down from afar.
The Monsters are Due on Maple street was fresh on my mind in April of 2020. Because about two weeks into Covid-19, I was convinced that this is what we were witnessing. I suspected immediately that the “two weeks to flatten the curve” was a lie. Mere subterfuge by an evil oligarchy of elites who were plotting their own schemes for a populous whose welfare they cared zero about. And by the end of April, many of us knew it for sure.
We watched logic and reason not only disregarded, but become enemies of the emotionally driven zealots. And zealots they were, discipled by their mass media and posting pictures and rants designed simultaneously to sway and shame the unconverted. Their cult symbol was the mask, and proudly they posted selfies of themselves with their faces unrecognizable, uniform in this otherwise useless bit of cloth.
“You didn’t have anyone affected by this,” was the conclusion jumped to by the covid proselytes to the heathen who still held onto intellect and individual liberty. Wrong again. I had the unusual distinction of having a direct connection to possibly the first publicized case of covid in the U.S., which resulted in death. For the privacy of the family members, who were hounded by media and who suffered greatly in the aftermath of already losing a loved one, I will not discuss the details. Only that you’ll remember a cruise ship was involved.
Meanwhile, we were not even allowed to have an honest discussion about the origins of the virus. Or the fact that the Great Dragon of the east, the Chinese Communist Party, was at the very least negligent in informing the world of what was happening in Wuhan. After all, it wasn’t China who was the chief enemy of Pseudo-science Facism. It was 45. It was the doctors who dared to say that there were effective therapeutics that could be administered to the afflicted. It was the individuals who had personal stories of seeing things contrary to the narrative who came forward that were Public Enemy Number One.
The Monsters are Due on Maple Street. Do you remember observing those who dared to question the CDC, who dared to question government trampling sacred individual liberties, and who dared to ask if we were really doing right by our children, being flayed alive by their peers?
Remember those who tried to educate fellow citizens on their constitutional rights by quoting both federal and state constitutions? Remember how they were shamed for being “selfish” – and even homicidal?
Those who dared to question the system were labeled science deniers and conspiracy theorists in the early stages. Then later, as the claim that unlawful mask mandates would lead to forced vaccinations proved not to be conspiracy, but actually true, the rabid mob hurled the term “anti-vaxxers” at them. Didn’t matter if they had actually vaccinated their children and themselves up until that point, but were leery of an emergency approved, untested gene therapy , but if they didn’t take this so called vaccine, they were anti vaxxers.
Remember how the cute little phrase “your mask protects me, and my mask protects you” was parroted to thrust deeper guilt on the non compliant? I didn’t watch the news by the time the injection rolled out but I knew what the media was saying by the way my globalist friends talked. I’ll never forget a relation expressing his angst that the unvaccinated were spreading covid – not because they actually HAD covid, but by default of being unvaccinated. Yet he had the jab and the booster, and I marveled why he was still so fearful.
Remember how we were encouraged to spy on our neighbors and to report them to the authorities if they violated governor mandates? Do you remember that? The Monsters are Due on Maple Street.
Can you even remember the pre-plandemic days when HIPPA and health privacy was regarded as sacrosanct? But overnight, all the fail-safes of medicine and the Hippocratic Oath and privacy were desecrated in the name of the greater good. Collectivism supplanted individual liberties, and if you protested, you must have wanted everyone dead. Remember?
Why am I bringing all this up? Because the CDC just quietly downgraded the covid threat. Social distancing doesn’t matter. Vaccination status doesn’t matter. Testing doesn’t matter. Quarantining is not required for those exposed.
No fanfare. No big scientific revelation. A seemingly arbitrary decision carrying with it the admission none of it makes a difference.
Nothing to see here, folks.
What about The people who went out of business and were forced to close their doors? What about the local restaurant that was owned by a family for generations and couldn’t keep its family fed any longer nor its staff paid? Left to fend for themselves in the name of compassion for the greater good.
What about the nurses and healthcare workers who lost their job because they wouldn’t be coerced into taking an emergency gene therapy treatment with the widespread mislabeling of a vaccine? (Oh right, accept that the CDC changed the legal definition of a vaccine in 2021 for their own convenience).
What about the elderly patients who weren’t allowed visits from their family members? Couldn’t even be in the same room as their spouse? What about people who died in hospital rooms alone without an advocate and only God knows whether the hospital outright killed them or whether their deaths could have been prevented?
What about the nursing home patients? Our venerable elderly who fought in wars and sacrificed creature comforts and lived through depressions and received Purple Hearts and Silver Stars?
A family member of mine worked in a nursing home until she just couldn’t take it anymore and was out right disobeying the orders from administration in favor of the needs of the patients. I remember her telling me about an older man who couldn’t understand why the barber shop was closed. His hair was long and unkempt. Couldn’t he just get a haircut? Couldn’t he just look and feel decent? This had never happened to him in 80 some years of living. That he couldn’t even have personal hygiene.
Residents weren’t allowed to go outside and get fresh air. They weren’t permitted to leave their cells – that is their rooms. And when this was mentioned I remember people saying “the administration is just following orders from the top” . Yeah, that was the problem. Too many people following orders instead of doing what was right. Too many people watching out for their own hides instead of taking a stand. Instead of being an advocate. Instead of being a voice of reason. Instead of being even willing to breach the other side with even a conversation about what justice might look like.
What about the 90 year old woman whom I know lost her grandson and was stuck in a nursing home and told my friend who was her caretaker “I think I could get through this if I could just be around my family”?
And then there are our children. Preschool and kindergarten children who couldn’t see their teacher’s faces in these early formative years when that cognitive formation is so vital. What about the students who have been set back at least a year in their education by erratic judgments handed down by agenda-driven bureaucrats?
What about the family that I met who told me of the daughter they were trying to get into a psychiatric hospital but all the beds were filled? And why are all the beds overrun? Why had mental illness among children and teens spiked during covid? Why was the daughter needing psychiatric care? She developed an eating disorder during covid because it was “the one thing she could control” they said. Suicides and overdoses an alcoholism up 400% – 400 per cent – because of mandates by power hungry, depraved officials who don’t give a rip about human beings. And to the current governor of Pennsylvania I’m talking about you. And everybody who has a yard sign advocating your successor may as well be lobbying for another generation of messed up, disoriented, disenfranchised kids who’ve been left behind by your derelict regime.
Pardon me If I don’t sound even-keeled and cheerful.
What about our military men and women? What about people who serve this country and went through basic training and lived highly disciplined lives only To be told by a rogue government if you don’t comply with this injection, Your service your training your valor your experience goes right out the window with you.. And they bagged our men and women in uniform just like that. Here’s the honor for your sacrifice. Pack your bags.
What about the colleges and grad schools the demanded young people take this or they weren’t allowed to further their education? What about one girl I know of I know of who after getting the injection bled for nine weeks straight? What if she is facing years of fertility issues thanks to this coercion? Is the CDC going to pay for her treatment?
Is the CDC going to offer restitution to these businesses? Is the CDC going to pay our military or the nurses that lost their jobs? What about the elderly that are even more severely understaffed in the nursing homes now than they were before because so many people left?
What about the people who took the jab and now have neurological issues, one of which is someone I know very well and is only in her thirties? Going to offer punitive damages, CDC?
What about the fact that discrimination and segregation became fashionable overnight? I went to a museum yesterday and walked past a sign saying if you’re not vaccinated, please don a face covering. (That museum is out of step now with the CDC, incidentally). That’s discrimination. No matter how you cut it, no matter if you justify it. That is Discrimination. Singling out one group of people in favor of another. Despite laws. Despite science. Are we living in the Dark Ages?
The Monsters are Due on Maple Street.
Now I know there is a lot of reaction to why the CDC actually did this. Some people say just in time for November. Some people say round one of psyops is over and another will begin. Or, it might have to do with the fact that the World Health Organization finally admitted just as quietly as the CDC that there were so many thousands of cases of adverse effects that they weren’t pushing the jab anymore. Or maybe it was something to do with a local med center which I only know because a friend went there and was told they were no longer recommending the gene therapy treatment erroneously and unscientifically called a vaccine because of the high rate of cancer they are seeing. Did this medical center issue a statement in a press release? Is there anything on their website? No. Just word-of-mouth to whoever happens to find out and not get their news through mainstream sources.
What about the ICU nurse who who told my husband the other day, “Oh, at the beginning stages of this we saw different treatments being administered and they were very successful. But then suddenly, you couldn’t get them any more.”
Do you know how many people I know who died at the hands of healthcare? I have a friend who’s a hospital chaplain who on a livestream outright said that the hospital murdered his friend.
I have a dear friend in another state whose wife died under the auspices of covid. He wasn’t permitted to see her for two weeks even though he had contracted and recovered from the China virus at the same time and was over it. He wasn’t permitted to see her for two weeks while she lay isolated and without an advocate. What he witnessed in her final days drove him to seek legal counsel. The attorney he consulted declined taking his case, and advised him that if he actually wanted to pursue it he should be prepared for it to cost him his life. That he could be killed for exposing what he claims to have seen.
Nothing to see here friends. The CDC is allowing individuals to have autonomy over their own body and their own choice. How grand of the CDC. Who elected them? Who gave them this power?
Well it wasn’t me. Not only electorally, but I never fed the machine of Pseudo-science facism through compliance. And if you stood up to the Monsters on Maple Street and ultimately to the invasive entities behind them, I affirm you. You have an inheritance here in the home of the brave.
If you go to a dentist or doctor or specialist or orthodontist who has followed the CDC guidelines rather than the rule of law and their own scientific findings and their own reason and conscience, it is time to ask them if they will continue on this track in light of what was just announced.
I am very thankful that I have never needed to don a face cloth In order to receive medical treatment. Because I wouldn’t do it. And there was no way my kids were going to cover their faces like some second class citizen. But that’s me.
I do, however, remember my daughter being treatment at a specialist because they were closing their doors in the name of covid. Doctors who take oaths to give care closed their doors. But my cat could get into the vet without a problem. Young girls were able to get into Planned Parenthood, no problem.
Two and a half years and millions of lives disrupted and and countless disorders and injustices and fraud and money wasted and lies and propaganda and manipulation and abuse and addictions and trauma and gaslighting. Wives without husbands and children without parents.
Nothing to see here folks.
Go about your business and forget about it. Immerse yourself in Netflix and take out. Hope vaguely that someone else will deal with it. Somebody else will get involved so you don’t have to. Somebody else can ring their representatives’ phones off the hook. Someone else can show up at a rally or a demonstration or a meeting so you can sit on your couch.
That’s what they are counting on.
In the closing sequence of “The Monsters are Due on Maple Street,” director Rod Serling says this, “The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill, and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children, and the children yet unborn. And the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.”
